Hole 18
Pro’s tip -
As you walk from the 17th green, what hits you first is the 270 degree panoramic views of the Burnley valley, Pendle and in the foreground, the welcoming clubhouse which awaits you. What is at first glance a benign par 4 due to the downhill slope unless you want to take on the green, it only requires a short shot onto the top of the slope and the ball will inevitably end up at the bottom of the hill, with a short approach shot to a large, generous green. If there is a left to right wind, beware of the out of bounds right. A lake on the left awaits an errant shot and the strategically placed bunkers are always ready to pick up any stray shots. The protection for the green are the subtle slopes that will catch you out if care is not taken.
