Practice Facilities

Burnley Golf Club at Glen View has two practice areas to help you to develop your golf swing. One is situated adjacent to the club house car park and the larger one is accessed via Woodplumpton Road. Both areas have a practice bunker and the far practice ground also has a practice green, ideal for honing your short game techniques.

We also have practice nets and a putting area, which are situated close to the club house. The Glen View Golf Academy Centre offers two large practice bays. There is also a swing room/studio area, available through booking, offering the latest in golf technology to assist with swing analysis, accuracy and distance. This facility can also be booked at an hourly rate to play courses of your choice. Our PGA Professional, Paul McEvoy offers excellent tuition opportunities, suited to all levels of golfers. Easily one of my favourite courses to date. Greens were pure, almost threw my round in the bin to have a tee shot from the ladies 18th tee box and almost every hole had a view. Can’t wait for a return visit.

Course was in great condition, real credit to the Greenskeeper. We played in fair conditions but I can imagine it being a tough test when the wind gets up. Very friendly staff and members and all round very enjoyable round of golf.

What a fantastic golf course! Great variety of golf holes and really well spread out. It was like 2/3 courses rolled into one. Greens and fairways were great, especially after heavy rain overnight. Views are stunning! Really enjoyed my round and will be certainly be back to play again.
